Eddy Ricci, Jr., CFP ®, CEPA ®: “Honestly”… This pet peeve came from a mentor of mine years ago who shared “don’t say honestly or to be honest with you”, as it would suggest you haven’t been honest with the other statements you have shared!
Michael P. Connaughton, CFP®, CLU®, ChFC®: “Perfectionist”… Please don’t say you’re a “perfectionist” in an interview. It’s too cliche and achieving perfection is near impossible. Rather cite examples of how you have strived for excellence in your previous positions
